Meet Michelle

There are the best of times and there are the worst of times. But where does stuffing your face with food fit in? Got to love Thanksgiving!! This one just happens to be extra special for my family and I. We have a place down in St. George, Utah, so we packed our things on Monday and left after my brother got out of school. Mind you that is 3:30 p.m., the drive to St. George is a good ten hour drive. We arrive at one in the morning, and spent a nice week down there. Got our fill of TV watching in, for we do not have one at our house in Wyoming, well cable that is.
Saturday rolls around and like always, your always sad to leave the good life. We pack our things and hit the road at 11:30 a.m. with the thought of being home around nine-ish. Boy were we wrong! Like always going home we stop by the cheese factory and pick up some fresh cheese and curds a.k.a squeaky cheese. We then quickly get back on the road. Although, if you knew my family you would know that we couldn’t make this drive without stopping by Cabela’s first. Even though it was a little out of our way we decide it was a great idea. Two and a half hours later we walked out of there. My dad then gets this grand idea that he thinks he has a short cut to get us to Provo Canyon. Couple of roads and an hour later, come to find out dad was wrong. We finally get back on the interstate and then take a wrong exit. Once again my dad thinks he can get us to where we need to be without being on the interstate again. We end up taking this road that follows the foot of the mountains and thank goodness for GPS, I was about to look it up and see that this road was taking us nowhere. So that took an hour and a half. Turning our ten hour drive into a fourteen hour drive, for we finally stopped and asked for directions adding on more time. Some people are able to make it through several states, oh no, not my family we can’t even make it out of Utah. All in all it makes for a good laugh. That was after we, yet again, got home at one in the morning. This Thanksgiving has for sure made a mark in my mind.
