David and Lisa

CWC stages its first production for the 2010-11 season Oct. 6 in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the Academy Award-nominated 1962 film of the same name, David and Lisa is the story of two mentally ill adolescent teens who meet at a special school. Myers said the “characters are really fascinating. It really helps you understand being mentally ill,” he explained. “Instead of being peripheral characters, they are the central characters.”

Nightly performances will take place Oct. 6-9 at 7:30pm.  A matinee is also scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets for the show are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens 60 and over and youth. Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday, 3-6 p.m. at the Arts Center Box Office. To purchase tickets by phone, call 855-2002 or 800-865-0190 and leave a voice mail. The college can accept credit cards.
