Congratulations Lance!

Central Wyoming College counselor Lance Goede was presented the Outstanding Service Award by the Wyoming Counseling Association at a recent annual conference held in Casper.

Goede, a new member of the Wyoming Mental Health Professionals Licensing Board, serves on the college’s Behavioral Intervention Team.

Goede also coordinates the “Students of Concern” group, which in collaboration with faculty and staff attempts to proactively identify students in need of additional assistance or guidance, and provides them with counseling and/or mental health service.

“We are proud of his accomplishments, service to our students and contributions to CWC,” said Vice President for Student Services Mohammed Waheed.

Goede earned his master’s in counseling from the University of Wyoming and joined the CWC staff first as the housing and student life director. He is also the primary force behind the annual college counselors’ retreat.
